Little Cross Retreat Farm lies in a fertile Valley at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains – South Africa’s 6th World Heritage Site.  Situated on the winding farm road of Oudemuragie, 12km outside the charming village of De Rust.  It is just off the famous Route 62(N12) at the southern entrance to Meiringspoort, a scenic gorge through the majestic Swartberg Mountain Range, which links the Klein (Little) Karoo to the Great Karoo.  De Rust a small Victorian village is only 10km away, Oudtshoorn our nearest town is 35km from De Rust and George, the closest national airport, is 90km away.  The area is malaria-free and a fantastic climate with summers perfect, hot and sunny.  Beautiful sunny winter days with cool nights.

The Victorian-Colonial Farm Cottages are all tastefully styled and offer unique hospitality, equipped as self catering, however we offer Bed & Breakfast to Dinner Bed & Breakfast and are served inside your own cottage according to your needs.  From vegetarian to local cuisine accompanied by organic home-grown vegetables and herbs from the farm or local area.  Prepare by your host to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction.
